For starters, Mortal Kombat 9 was actually the first game developed by NetherRealm Studios after Midway Games filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and were acquired by WB Games. Of course, it's important to understand why Mortal Kombat 9 is significant enough to be celebrated like this.
